A point with an ordinate –1.3 belongs to the graph of the equation x – xy = 46. Find the abscissa of this point.

The first coordinate is called the abscissa of the point or the x coordinate of the point.
The second coordinate is called the ordinate of the point or coordinate y of the point.
We have then:
x - xy = 46
Clearing x we have:
x (1-y) = 46
x = 46 / (1-y)
Substituting values:
x = 46 / (1 - (- 1.3))
x = 20
Answer:
The abscissa of this point is:
