Government is important for numerous reasons. It's important because it helps create laws. Those laws help citizens to know right from wrong. When the laws are not abided, the government steps in to punish, thereby protecting the citizens from the wrongdoers. Government helps maintain order and peace. Government is organized leadership. With that, it converses with other governments around the world to not only guard and protect its citizens, but also to trade goods and services.
