Answer:

x=7.2

Explanation:

In the given circle, line x with end points are the midpoint of both top and bottom lines

Hypotenuse of triangle is 24/2= 12

Base of the triangle is 19.2/2= 9.6

Now we find out side x using pythagoren theorem

c^2 = a^2 + b^2, where c is the hypotenuse

12^2 = 9.6^2 + x^2

144= 92.16+x^2

Subtract 92.16 from both sides

51.84= x^2

take square root on both sides

x= 7.2

line x is the mid point of both lines
so the triangle becomes base = 19.2/2 = 9.6
hypotenuse = 24/2 = 12

using Pythagorean theorem:

x^2 = 12^2 - 9.6^
x^2 = 144 - 92.16
x^2 = 51.84

x = sqrt(51.84) = 7.2
