Hurricane Camille was so strong that it broke the instruments used to determine wind speed. How were scientists able to determine that is was a category 5 storm? A. It did a tremendous amount of damage to the area.

B. It had very low pressure.
C. It caused massive flooding.
D. The size of the storm was gigantic.

I think that the correct answer is D. If the storm had floods, it wouldn't have broken WIND instruments.

A would be the best answer if you read on it they talk about how much damage it really did
