the way you would write an equation for this would be by showing that both of the equations are equal to each other.  so the equation you would need to be solving is (2x+2)=(3x-52) then you would add 52 to both sides. then your equation would be (2x+54)=(3x) then you would need to take 2x away from both sides of the equation so that you would then get (54)=(x) which is just x=54

They are vertical angles, and so they will equal the same degrees

set the two equal to another

2x + 2 = 3x - 52

Move all numbers with variables to one side, and all constant to the other

2x (-3x) + 2 (-2) = 3x (-3x) - 52 (-2)

2x - 3x = - 52 - 2

-x = -54

isolate the x, divide -1 from both sides

-x/-1 = -54/-1

x = -54/-1

x = 54


x = 54°
