Answer:

The fall of Constantinople marked the end of the Byzantine Empire. Because of this, the Orthodox churches didn’t hold as much power. The Ottomans used this to spread Islam, growing much wealthier and larger.

The Ottoman Empire conquering Constantinople gave them important economic and naval foothold in the eastern Mediterranean. It also helped the Ottoman Empire go from Anatolian Nation to one that had a major impact on the trade of Europe, and opened further expansion into the west.
