I took the Earth Science 2.07: Ocean Currents Quiz and got 100% with answer East!

Explanation: Water moves 90 degrees to the right of the wind in Northern Hemisphere.

The Coriolis effect diverts this flow to the right, thereby causing a clockwise circulation.

This is called an Ekman spiral, it is when movement of water is perpendicular to the wind direction, right in the Northern Hemisphere, and left in the Southern Hemisphere.
