As I traveled along the Silk Road, I came upon many sick people. It is thought that the bubonic plague, or Black Death, traveled to Europe from the Silk Road. Very few merchants, as I soon figured out, traveled along the entire route. Goods were traded at many cities and trade posts along the way. There wasn't just one route though, but there were many routes. I knew that it would be difficult, but I wanted to see it through. I wanted to go the main way, so I followed a group.
