Let one of the numbers be x
The other number is x + 2
x(x + 2) = 5( x + x + 2) - 10
x² + 2x = 10x + 10 - 10
x² - 8x = 0
x(x - 8) = 0
x = 0 or x = 8
x = 8,
x + 2 = 10
Answer: The numbers are 8 and 10.
