Answer and Explanation:

Lincoln believe it is wrong to enslave black people because, according to ancient faith, all men are created equal. According to Lincoln, ancient faith has a higher purpose and moral characteristics which the democratic principles practiced by the new American nation was founded on; the moral characteristics are clearly expressed in the Declaration of Independence which believes that nobody is qualified to rule over another person without the other person’s understanding or consent; therefore, it is only possible to enslave another person if the person agrees to be enslaved. In summary, the practice of forced slavery violates the ancient faith upon which the Declaration of Independence was founded on.
