A drawer contains 9 red socks, 4 white socks, and 2 blue socks. without looking, you draw out a sock, return it, and draw out a second sock. what is the probability that the first sock is white and the second sock is white?

Total socks = 9 + 4 + 2 = 15
White socks = 4

P(White, then white) = (4/15)(4/15) = 16/225

Answer: 16/225
