Sodium Metal when reacted with water produces Hydrogen gas and NaOH,

2 Na (s) + 2 H₂O (l) → 2 NaOH (aq) + H(g)

According to equation,

2 moles of Na produces = 1 mole of H₂ gas
So,
0.068 moles of Na will produce = X moles of H₂ gas

Solving for X,
X = (0.068 mol × 1 mol) ÷ 2 mol

X = 0.034 moles of H₂
