What do you remember about the difference between a centimeter and an inch (which one is greater and where they are used)? What kind of measure do these two units represent and how would you convert 10 centimeters into inches?

An inch is greater than a centimeter.

The inch is used in the empirical system (mainly US), while the centimeter is used in the metric system (essentially everywhere else, scientists prefer this)

They measure length/distance.

To convert, you first have to know how many centimeters are in 1 inch.

2.54cm = 1inch

10cm/2.54cm = 3.937inches
