First we will find the roots of the function

\begin{gathered} -16t^2+64t+960=16(-t^2+4t+60) \\ =-16(t-10)(t+6) \end{gathered}

Thus, the roots of the polynomial are t= -6 and t=10. So we will interpret that the function "starts" at -6, and it reaches its maximum height at t=0, that is 6 seconds after

That means it takes 6 seconds for the ball to reach its maximum height!
