Note that "birth control pills" are also prescribed to girls/women for
"hormone replacement therapy" (e.g. to help prevent/reduce menstrual cramps/ symptoms of "hot flashes"/ "menstrual migraines"/ irregular periods/ including those symptoms associated with menopause.

In other words—and put simply—birth control pills are "hormone pills" .
