To find Tangent we can use T=O/A, meaning Tangent = opposite/adjacent.
The opposite of the tangent angle is 10.8cm and the adjacent is p.
Therefore we can input these values into T=O/A…
T=10.8/p
We must also make sure that we enter in our angle, so…
tan(56°)=10.8/p
