Almost every job requires a person to multi-task and to work on several things at one time. How will you prepare to be efficient and to handle multiple tasks at once at your future job?

It's good that you're thinking about your future. To prepare for your future job, I think that you should start NOW. To assure that you will do your job to your best ability, you should start training yourself right now. I know your thinking, "I'm not a dog," but whether you know it or not, your mind can be trained.

Here are a few habits that you can form now to help you in the future:

Good Habits:

Going to bed on time (Staying up late is never a good thing because it could lead to you being late for work, or fatigued the next day.)
Learning to manage your time (You cannot replace wasted time, and since some of your tasks may be time-sensitive, you need to learn how to manage your time.)
Don't be lazy, even if you're at home (This is a bad habit that most people have picked up. Laziness can get you into a lot of trouble because usually bosses don't take minimum effort.)
Try to stick to a routine (Even though some people like change, trying new things can lead to a lot of failure. If you do try something new, make sure that you think of EVERY possible outcome.)

The moral I'm trying to get to you is: Build good habits and get rid of the bad ones.
