How are the movement of tectonic plates and volcanoes related ?

Answer:

Subduction occurs when an oceanic plate is pushed beneath a continental plate or another oceanic plate. As the plate descends, seismic activity takes place. The plate heats up during its descent, causing magma to form and rise toward the surface. As magma rises, volcanoes erupt.

The earth’s plates sliding against each other and moving under each other causes earthquakes. When plates move apart, magma comes up, thus forming a volcano.
