Passive voice happens when the subject of the verb is receiving the action of the verb. In the original sentence, the play is the thing being reviewed and it is the subject of the sentence. To change a sentence from passive to active, you must rearrange the sentence so that the subject of the sentence is who or what is actually doing the action. The last option makes this revision correctly. The subject of the sentence is critics and reviewed is the action the critics are doing. This moves play into the position of the direct object.
