How did the geography of the Indian sub-continent, during the reign of the Gupta, contribute to the movement of the people and ideas?

Mountains in north made land trade difficult while the south facing the ocean made trade through sea routes easy.

Or the location of the Empire between northern mountains and southern seas was subject to monsoons.

It contributes to the movement of the people by its location. The location of the Empire between northern mountains and southern seas was subject to monsoons.

Hope this helps. - M
