The larger number is 22 and the smaller number is 7.
22-1=21 21/3=7

x-y=15 (1)
x=3y+1 (2)

substitute (2) into (1)

3y+1-y=15
2y=14
y=7

x=3y+1=3*7+1=21+1=22
