The Continental Army was created on October 13, 1775. This army was lead by none other than George Washington. This army was extremely inexperienced and quite unorganized in comparison to the British army. At this time, the British army was one of the strongest in the entire world.
However, the Continental Army ended up having success due to their determination to be free from British rule. Along with this, the British soldiers fighting in this war were not personally invested, as they did not care much about America remaining under British rule.
