For this case we have the following equation:
Time = Height / speed
Substituting values we have:
Time = (4 1/4) / (1/8)
Rewriting:
Time = (17/4) / (1/8)
Time = 136/4
Time = 34 hours
Answer:
the candle will burn about:
34 hours
