you use the rule (x,y) to (x-3,y)

The new coordinates of point B are (-1,4)

Explanation:

current coordinates = (2,4)

if moved to left side i.e. moved towards the negative x axis, only the x coordinate will change by -3 units and the y coordinate will remain the same.

2 - 3 = -1

hence the new coordinates of B are (-1,4)
