In a random sample of 200 customers at a fast food restaurant, 74 customers ordered a salad. If the restaurant typically has 1,000 customers in a day, how many customers will probably order a salad?

I'm pretty sure that you would divide 1000/200 and get 5 then multiply it by 74 to get 370. So 370 customers will probably order a salad.

Sorry if this is wrong I don't think that it is but just in case.

Answer:

370 customers would order a salad.

Explanation:

Given,

Out of 200 customers 74 ordered a salad.

So, the ratio of the customers who ordered salad and the total costumers =
(74)/(200)

Let x be the number of costumers who order a salad out of 1000 customers,

So, the ratio of the customers who ordered salad and the total costumers =
(x)/(1000)

\implies (x)/(1000)=(74)/(200)

200x=74000

\implies x = (74000)/(200)=370
