What punctuation do you use when you narrate?

Answer: Always punctuate all forms of dialogue with commas. ⬇️

1) A comma should come before your beginning quote when composing conversation. There is an exception to the rule listed above though, when conjunctions like "that" or "whether" are used to introduce speech.

2) Use full stops and commas within the dialogue, then close them off after with quotation marks (" and ") , other known as 'speech marks.'

3) When mentioning a quote, or what someone else said within the text, use single quotations (') - For example "My mum always said 'What comes around, goes around.'"
