ASAP!!! Estimate the area of the circle and use 22/7 for pie. The circle shows line all the way across measuring 28cm. Find area. Can someone please help explain and show your work. TYSM

R = 14ft , D = 3 1/3 yd

A = (pi) (r^2)

A = (22/7)(14)^2

A = 616ft^2 / 616 square feet

Kinda hard for me to explain online.. Hopefully this makes sense.

Area of circle:

A = πr²

π = 22/7, or 3.14 (simplified)

'a line all the way across' means a diameter, which is 28 cm. To find the radius, divide the diameter by 2:

28/2 = 14

Plug in 14 (the radius) to r inside the equation:

A = πr²
A = π(14)²

14² = 196

A = π(196)

π = 3.14

A = 196(3.14)

A = 615.44

615.44cm² is the area of the circle

hope this helps
