How does an iceberg form?

this happens when chucks of ice break off from mega glaciers ice shelves or larger already formed ice bergs on the ice bergs surface and then warm air melts the fluffy snow into ice and then ice into pools caled melt ponds then that trickles through the iceberg and widens the cracks. Thats a rough over view
