Help me please on this Math! I think I got the answer! PUH-LEEZ READ!

A potted tree weighs 35 pounds. The pot weighs 5 more pounds more than the tree. How much does the tree weigh without the pot?

I think that the answer is:

The tree weighs 35 pounds without the pot. I figure that is the answer because if the pot weighs 5 more pounds, then that means the tree weighs 40 pounds (???) Then without the pot its 5 lbs less which is 35..... Am I right?

No, I think the tree weighs 15 pounds without the pot, cuz it says that the potted tree weighs 35 pounds, so the tree with the pot weighs 35 pounds, and we know that pot is 5 pounds more than the tree. So, if the tree is 15 pounds, then the pot would be 15+5 = 20 pounds, and 20 + 15 is 35. So, I conclude that the tree weighs 15 pounds by itself.

Sorry if I'm wrong.
