to start you need to find the difference of how much it has increased which is 150 and then from the question we can gather that the tank fills and about 1 gallon per minute so then we divide the number we got before by the rate so that should 150 minutes in order to get 450 gallons

Answer:

After
(150)/(g) minutes the tank will have 450 gallons of water.

Explanation:

Volume of water in tank = 300 gal

Rate at which water was pumped in tank = g

The function representing amount of water after n minutes:W

W = 300 + g* n

Given, W = 450 at n =?

450 = 300 + g* n

450-300= g* n

n = (150)/(g)

After
(150)/(g) minutes the tank will have 450 gallons of water.
