1st calculate the total volume of the jar:
V = PI x r^2 x H
V = 3.14 x 1.5^2 x 7 = 49.455 cubic inches

now multiply the total volume by the cost per cubic inch:
49.455 x 0.08 = 3.9564
rounded to the nearest penny would be $3.96 total cost

Radius of the jar = 1.5 inches

Height of the cylinder = 7 inches

Then

Volume of the cylinder = pie * (Radius)^2 * Height

= 3.14 * (1.5)^2 * 7

= 49.455 cubic inches

Value of 1 inch cube of mayonnaise = 0.08 dollars

Then

Value of 49.455 inch cube of mayonnaise = 0.08 49.455

= 3.956 dollars

= 3.96 dollars.
