1. The correct answer is choice A because there are 1000 milligrams in 1 gram, so when you divide the number of milligrams by 1000, this is moving 3 place values (10 x 10 x 10).
2. The correct answer is letter B, this time we will multiply by 1000 because a mL is a smaller unit and we will need more of them to equal the number of liters.
