f(x) = 2x² + 3
f(x + 1) = 2(x + 1)² + 3
f(x + 1) = 2(x² + 2x + 1) + 3
f(x + 1) = 2x² + 4x + 2 + 3
f(x + 1) = 2x² + 4x + 5
