Answer: The set of inequality is solved as x is greater than or equal to 2

Explanation:

Given inequality : -5x + (-3) ≤ 2x -17

Adding 3 both sides

-5x + (-3) + 3 ≤ 2x + 3 - 17

-5x ≤ 2x -14

Adding 5x both sides

-5x + 5x ≤ 2x - 14+ 5x

0 ≤ 7x - 14

Adding 14 both sides

0+ 14 ≤ 7x -14 + 14

14≤ 7x

Dividing by 7 both sides

2 ≤ x

Hence the solution is x ≥2
