If the speaker misunderstands their purpose, meaning, if they didn't grasp what they were needing to be speaking about, they could cause a disconnect in the audience and their speech. Speakers should be well informed of what they are to be discussing and make sure they have a clear understanding. If the speech does not portray the correct content it needs to be addressed and soled immediately.
