So I have been working on this question, and I am confused on how to solve it. I looked in my text, but I do not understand. I was hoping somebody could help explain how I solve the problem. Thanks :)

Angle LMN and angle NMO are adjacent angles that share ray MN as a side. Together, those two angles form angle LMO.

What equation can you write that shows the relationship between the measure of angle LMN, the measure of angle NMO, and the measure of angle LMO?

Answer:

m∠LMN + m∠NMO = m∠LMO I also know this, because I have used it on a test before, and it was the right answer.

m∠LMN + m∠NMO = m∠LMO

This is true because these two angles together form the larger angle. This means that the measure of each piece will add together to form the whole thing.
