The height of a trapezoid is 4 in and it’s area is 24 in2 one base of the trapezoid is 6 inches longer than the other base what are the lengths of the bases

area of trapezoid:


area = height * (sum \: of \: bases)/(2)


24= 4 * ((x + 6) + x)/(2)


24 = 4 * (x + 3)


x =3

So the bases are 3 and 9.
