first find the area of the square, the formula is base times height area of the square=25
then find the area of the triangles, the formula is 1/2bh,the area of the triangle is 20, there r 4 identical triangles so multiply 20 by four the find the surface area of all of the triangles= 80 to find the the total surface area u add the area of the triangles to the area of the square=105
The answer is C.105 centimeters squared

Hi there! The answer is C.

The area of the square in the middle is the following:

length \: * \: width \: = 5 * 5 = 25
Hence, the area of the square is 25 cm^2.

The area of one triangle is the following:

0.5 * base \: * \: height \: = 0.5 * 5 * 8 = 20
Hence, the total area of the four triangles is 4 × 20 = 80 cm^2.

Therefore, the total area of the pyramid is 80 + 25 = 105 cm^2. The answer is C.
