The general equation of this type is
y = a(x - 4)^2 + 2 You use the point (-2, 26) to solve for "a"

26 = a(-2 - 4)^2 + 2
26 = a(-6)^2 + 2
26 = a*36 + 2 Subtract 2
26 - 2 = a*36
24 = a * 36 Divide by 36
24/36 = a
a = 2/3

So the equation is y = 2/3(x - 4)^2 + 2 <<<< answer.
