A square DEFG is dilated about the center of the square with a line running through the center of dilation. If the square is dilated by a scale factor of 2, what can you say about the new line that runs through the center of dilation?

The line through the center will be 2 times larger than it was before.

When you are performing a dilation, all the lengths of a shape are increased by the scale factor of the dilation.

In this case, everything is multiplied by 2 and gets twice as long, including the diagonals.
