The Weimar Republic was already struggling and would have likely collapsed and gave way to a new German nation without the help of the Nazi Party. The Weimar was perceived as an allied-neutralized Germany that was suffering and it was a democracy. The Nazi party saw the new republic as weak and its death necessary and inevitable but they were determined to be its successor, the Weimar embodied everything that the Nazis despised. A democracy that grew from the armistice and surrendering of Germany that was now bankrupt and complacent with the Treaty of Versailles.
