25X100= 2,500 at the door
2,500-20,500 = 18,000 lift
18,000/15 =1,200 people on line

Answer: The number of people bought their tickets online = 450 and the number of people bought their tickets offline = 550 .

Explanation:

Let x = Number of tickets sold online.

y= Number of tickets sold at the door.

As per given , we have the following linear equation:

y=x+100-----------(1)\\\\15x+25y=20500------------------(2)

Put value of y from (1) in (2) , we get

15x+25(x+100)=20500\\\\\Rightarrow\ 15x+25x+2500=20500\\\\\Rightarrow\ 40x=18000\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=(18000)/(40)=450

Put value of x in (1), we get

y=450+100=550

Hence, the number of people bought their tickets online = 450 and the number of people bought their tickets offline = 550 .
