Simply multiply the two numbers.
20x1/4=5
The smaller table is 5 yards long.

If the smaller table is 1/4 the length, multiply 1/4 by the length of the larger table.
Length of Smaller Table
= 1/4 * 20
= (1*20)/4
= 20/4
= 5 yards
ANSWER: The smaller table is 5 yards long.
