We have 2 inequalities, so we will obtain at maximum 2 ranges for x

5x-29>-34. Lets solve for x, pass -29 to the other side

5x>-34+29, this gives 5x>-5, from that we obtain the first range x>-1

(-1, inf)

The second one is similar

2x+31<29, solving for x you have the following: 2x>-2 <(note that we have to reverse the < sign since the "-" sign that appears when performing the subtraction -31+29=-2) thus you have x>-1, our second range is (-1, inf)
