The statements that are characteristics of matter in the gaseous state are A, B, C, and E

All these statements describe gases. Statement D is the only one that doesn't describe a gas. The pressure of a gas depends on the temperature. This is described in the Ideal Gas Law (
P*V=n*R*T), and also in the Gay-Lussac's Law (
(P1)/(T1) = (P2)/(T2) = (Pn)/(Tn)). These Laws describes how the pressure of a gas changes with temperature.
