hi there! So for the first section, you’re all you have to do is decide what the verb is out of the underlined parts. Now a verb is an action word, so to solve it, all you have to do is ask yourself which one of the underlined words you can DO. For #1 the answer is ran, because you can run something, but you can’t “a” something.
For the next section, you have to decide whether it’s a helping or main verb. If the underlined word is the only think they’re doing, it’s main. For example, in #9, that’s a helping verb because you can’t “has” something. Another example would be #7: the underlined verb is a main verb, because you CAN BE going somewhere. Hope that helps!
