soup can is in the shape of cylinder

given, base area = 9 pi

base area = area of circle = pi * r^2 = 9 * pi

r = 3

total surface area of cylinder = 2 *pi*r(h+r)

= 2*3(10+3) pi= 78 pi

area for the label needed to wrap around the can with

no overlaps 78 pi inches^2
