A: The charge of a proton is positive, a neutron is neutral and an electron is negative. The protons and neutrons are found in the nucules while the electrons orbit the nucules in their given energy levels.

Answer:

The basic constituents of the universe:

The atoms are regarded as the basic unit for the development of all the celestial bodies inside the universe. While, all the stars and the planets are made up of the basic unit for the developing these structures that we live in and observe inside the universe.

While, the recent findings made it easy for us to understand that atoms are not the most smallest or minute of all the quantities, but it is too made of some basic entities. These sub-atomic entities are,

  1. Electrons,
  2. Protons and Neutrons(The nucleus).

Note:"While, there are also some other particles inside the atom."

Step-by-step explanation:

The nucleus:

It is more obvious to have a balance inside any complex form of building blocks or structural units. As the atoms posses a part which acts as the heart for the atom. While, the nucleus consists an equal amount of neutrons and protons.

  1. Neutrons:As the neutrons are considered as more neutral in nature, which means that all the charges on the neutrons are balanced or they are neutral in more simple words. While, the neutrons are considered more significant in terms if there properties when we are performing any sort of the nuclear reactions.Neutron's are very light in mass as compared to other sub atomic particles as its mass,m (in terms of the atomic.mass.units or a.m.u) is about 1 a.m.u.And most of the time we say that there are some high speed electrons inside a nuclear reactions, so the atoms which has the right amount of neutrons to carry out the process for having energy inside the reactor is taken under-consideration.
  2. Protons: The protons are those entities which posses a net positive charge some times considered as the 1+ in total inside a nucleus. As being a positive entity makes it more easy for the atom to balance its whole structure in terms of the charges it holds on it. Its mass in terms of the atomic mass unit(a.m.u) is about 1 a.m.u.
  3. Electrons: While, the electrons are the charges which are held responsible for virtually all the energy transfer that we know till data. As we get to know that an atom losses or gains a number of electrons(when some sort of work is carried out or transfer of energy has occurred). So, as far is the electron concerned it gets the net 1(-) charge on it. As the electrons are present in the outermost region or part of the atomic structure. And its mass is about 1/1840 a.m.u. The electrons are where much involved in the assembly and bonding of the different atoms to compose any substance. So, there numbers and position inside the electronic cloud of an atom matters a lot.
