First we need to find the measure of the length.

The length is bigger then the width in this case so we will multiply 125% by 8.

Lets convert 125% ==> decimal form

125% = 1.25

Note : simply move the decimal point two places to the left

8 * 1.25 = 10

So the length is 10 meters long.

~~

Now since we know the length we can find the area of the rectangular - like garden.

A = bh or in this case, A = lw

a = 10 * 8
Multiply :

a = 80 \: meters ^(2)

I hope that helps you out!!

Answer:

The area of garden is 80 meters²

Explanation:

Given : The length of a garden is 125% of its width. If the width of the garden is 8 meters.

We have to find the area of the garden.

Consider the given

Width = 8 meters.

Then length is 125% of width = 125% of 8 =
(125)/(100)* 8=10

Thus, Length = 10 meters.

Now, Area of garden = Length × width

Area of garden = 10 × 8

Thus, Area of garden = 80 meters²

Thus, The area of garden is 80 meters²
