If the frequency of standing waves is 485 hz , how far apart are two adjacent nodes?

Solution:
first, we can find the wavelength of the wave, using the relationship between velocity, frequency and wavelength:

\lambda= (v)/(f) = (95.0 m/s)/(485 Hz)=0.196 m

Then, we know that the distance between two adjacent nodes of a standing wave is equal to half the wavelength, so their distance is:

d= (\lambda)/(2)= (0.196 m)/(2)=0.098 m
